A Little about us...

We are a family run dog training and boarding facility, just outside of Fort Leonard Wood, MO. We are located on 6.5 acres just outside of Waynesville,  and not too far from St. Robert, Mo. Only 9.5 miles from Interstate 44 and just 1/2 mile off of T-hwy. We are state inspected and licensed. We are in the process of clearing the land to make room for an Indoor Training facility and Outdoor Agility course, we also hope to add several large fenced exercise/play areas for all to enjoy! Our facility is small, and we like it that way! We have a maximum of 10 outdoor kennels available at any time. This allows us to be sure that every dog gets the attention deserved.

Barbara Pruitt- Owner and Head Training Director

I have been involved with dogs for over 25 years; it began even before I can remember, having had dogs as well as a variety of other animals as part of my family for years.  Training dogs was introduced to me as a teen and from the very start I was hooked. I have been fascinated and passionate about dogs ever since.

My experience and training has been an ongoing process since my early teens. I have taken numerous courses and seminars; trained many varied breeds and ages of dogs and have done a lot of personal educating through reading many, many books and doing extensive research, as well as having attended the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers. I have several certificates and degrees in the animal care and training fields. I am currently an AKC CGC Evaluator, Endorsed member of NADOI [#1088] and Certified Animal Care Specialist.

 Jason Pruitt - Trainer/Kennel Support

Jason has over 12 years experience working with and around dogs. He provides essential back up and support to trainers and staff when needed. He is an integral part of our success.

Maryellen Townsend - Trainer/kennel manager

Maryellen has assisted us in many aspects in the past, she has assisted in track laying, distraction work and CGC testing. She helps with the daily tasks in running the kennels and helps us keep organized. We are thrilled to have her join the training team, and look forward to seeing her skills as a trainer develop and grow. Maryellen has trained her own service dog, Violet - working together they passed several of our obedience classes, passed their CGC testing and the Public Access Test! CONGRATULATIONS!
Maryellen is now a Member of NADOI #1105 as well as a CGC Evaluator for the AKC!
